Biography
Professor Gichoon Kang graduated from Korea University with a B.A. and from Iowa State University in the United States with a Ph.D. degree in economics. Having served as a chief researcher at Tong-Yang Economic Research Institute, he became a professor at Jeju National University in 1993. He worked as a visiting scholar at the Bank of Korea (BOK), the University of Washington (USA), and Iowa State University (USA). He also worked as a director at Audit and Inspection Research Institute (AIRI), and president of Jeju Research Institute (JRI). There are many other books besides Econometrics (2010) and there are many more research papers including The Relative Importance of Aggregate and Disaggregate Shocks in Korean Business Cycles (2003). His lectures on Statistics for Economics and Econometrics are well-known in the online sites of public lectures such as KOCW and K-MOOC.
