Biography
Cheng LIU is an associate professor of economics at the Nankai University of China, and deputy chairman of the Department of International Economics and Trade, at Nankai University. He is a research fellow of center of World Economic Forum and Secretary General of the research center of the Pilot Free Trade Zone at Nankai University. He received his Ph.D. from the School of Economics at Nankai University, where he focused on topics in international finance and development economics. He was a visiting scholar at the Department of Economics at Columbia University between 2016 and 2017. His research interests include the determinants and reconstruction of the international monetary system, and also the economics of capital control. He was awarded the nomination of the National Best Ph.D. Thesis by Ministry of Education of China in 2010."
