Kang Hyesuk is a researcher at the Institute for Political Studies, Seoul National University. She majored in North Korean politics. His doctoral thesis is titled “The Politics of Legitimacy and Resilience: Adaptive State Nationalism in North Korea.” She is deeply interested in North Korean politics, inter-Korean relations, Social Integration, and Unification. She received a doctorate in political science from Seoul National University and a master’s degree in North Korean studies from Ewha Womans University.
