Biography
Masuda Hajimu received his doctorate from Cornell University in 2012 and is currently an associate professor of history at the National University of Singapore. He was a resident fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, D.C., from September 2017 to May 2018, and a visiting fellow at CRASSH and Wolfson College at Cambridge University from March to November 2020. He is the author of "The Crucible of the Cold War: The Korean War and the Postwar World" (English, 2015) and "The Cold War World in People" (Japanese, 2021). He is currently a leading researcher at the National University of Singapore-based three-year project Re-concept of the Cold War: Based on his experience in Asia. The project aims to build an oral archive under the theme of the Cold War and decolonization in Asia.
