Biography
Dr. PARK Myung-Hee is a visiting professor of the Center for Japanese Studies at the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy. Dr. Park received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Ewha Womans University in Korea. Her main research interests include Japanese politics, civil society, and welfare politics. She was a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy of Ewha Womans University from 2011 to 2014, and a visiting scholar at Keio University in Japan in 2009. She has taught courses on Japanese politics, economics, society, and culture in Catholic University, Ewha Womans University, and Myoungji University in Korea. Dr. Park has recently published “Opportunity Structure of Nationalism and Trans-nationalism in Japan: Focusing on Japanese Military Comfort Women Issue in Japan” in the Journal of International Politics, Vol.19, no. 2 (2014), and “Local Politician’s Diplomatic Experiment to Secure Popular Support” in the Korea Journal of Japanese Studies, Vol.41 (2015).
