Biography
H.E. Abdulla Saif Al Nuaimi started his career in 1992 with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). In 1997, he was seconded to the Abu Dhabi Privatization Committee for the Water & Electricity Sector. In 2011, he was appointed as Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA). He served as Chairman of the Board for the Abu Dhabi Distribution Company and Al Ain Distribution Company; the Abu Dhabi Transmission & Dispatch Company (TRANSCO); Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Company (ADWEC); Al Wathba Company for Central Services; and Taweelah Asia Power Company (TAPCO). In addition, he was also Vice Chairman of the First Energy Bank; Abu Dhabi National Takaful Co. for insurance, and as Vice Chairman & CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, TAQA. He is a board member of some other public and private enterprises. He was a member of the Follow-up Committee of the Initiatives of the UAE President until 2014 and President of the Canadian Emirati Businessmen Council. His career success was acknowledged with many prestigious awards. Since November 2016, Al Nuaimi has been the UAE Ambassador to ROK. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business from the United Arab Emirates University and attended advanced courses in the United States.
