Biography

Chung-in Moon is Chairman of the Sejong Institute, a leading think-tank in South Korea. He is a distinguished university professor at Yonsei Univ., Larry Krause Distinguished Fellow at the School of Global Policy and Strategy at UCSD. He is also Editor-in-Chief, of Global Asia, a Quarterly Journal in English. He was the Special Advisor to the ROK president for National Security and Foreign Affairs(May 2017-Feb.2021). He is the only scholar who attended all three Korean summits(2000, 2007, 2018) in Pyongyang as a special delegate. He has published over 50 authored, co-authored, and edited books and over 300 scholarly articles. His most recent publication in English includes the Routledge Handbook of Politics and Administration in Korea(2019) and Bridging the Divide: Moon Jae-in’s Korea Peace Initiative (2019)
