Biography
Dr. Manpreet Sethi is a Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for Air Power Studies, New Delhi. She has been leading the project on Nuclear Security at the Centre for the last 15 years. She is an expert on the entire spectrum of nuclear issues ranging from nuclear energy, strategy, nonproliferation, disarmament, arms control, and ballistic missile defense. Dr. Sethi is the recipient of the prestigious K Subrahmanyam Award, conferred on a scholar for excellence in strategic and security studies.
Dr. Sethi received her PhD from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 1997. Soon thereafter, she started her career as a strategic analyst specializing in nuclear issues at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, New Delhiās only national security think tank at the time. She worked there until 2002 and thereafter joined the Centre for Air Power Studies just as it was established. As a founding member, she helped craft the nuclear program at the Centre and it is today at the forefront of nuclear research and analyses.
