Biography
Professor Bong-Geun Jun is currently a professor at the Department of National Security and Unification Studies, Korea National Diplomatic Academy, where he has worked since 2005. Before joining the KNDA, Professor Jun held positions in both the private and public sector. He was Policy Advisor to the Minister of Unification from 2003 to 2004; a Visiting Scholar at Keio University in Tokyo and Japan-Korea Cultural Foundation Academic Fellow from 2001 to 2002; a professional staffer at KEDO New York headquarters from 1997 to 2001; and Secretary to the ROK President for international security affairs at the Blue House from 1993 to 1997. Dr. Jun’s research covers North Korean nuclear issues, inter-Korean relations, and nonproliferation issues. Dr. Jun received a BA and MA in political science from Seoul National University and a Ph.D. ins Political Science from the University of Oregon.
