Biography
Originally from rural Canada, Dr. Lonnie Edge has called South Korea home for roughly 18 years. As a Korean Government Scholarship student, he completed his Master’s and Ph.D degrees in International Relations at Sogang University and Yonsei University respectively and he is currently an Assistant Professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. In addition to his professorial duties, he is kept busy in his roles as the Managing Editor for two academic journals published by Yonsei University, namely North Korean Review and the Journal of Territorial and Maritime Studies. Dr. Lonnie Edge’s recent research includes a book chapter on inter-Korean relations in the forthcoming Routledge Handbook of Contemporary Korea. His research interests include Northeast Asian Relations, Inter-Korean Relations, IR theory, and Politics of Identity.
