Biography
After MIN Byung Hun graduated from the Russian State University of Cinematography, the individual made a dazzling debut with multiple accolades: winning the Grand Prize at the Torino International Film Festival for The Bees Are Flying (1998), the Artistic Contribution Award at the Cottbus Film Festival for It's Okay, Don't Cry (2001), and the Critics' Award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival as well as the Silver Award at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival for Pruning the Grape Vine (2006). In 2014, <Touch> earned the Special Award at the Marie Claire Film Festival and the Catholic Mass Media Award, and it wased as the Film of the Year by the Korean Film Archive. In 2015, Love Wins was screened at the Hamburg and Shanghai Film festivals. In 2017, Feng Zhengjie is Feng Zhengjie was invited to the Jeonju International Film Festival and the Silk Road International Film Festival.
Currently, the director has completed a trilogy about life with the feature films The Emperor (2018), Miracle (2020), and Phantom (2021) and is filming the human documentary Promise on Jeju Island."
