Biography
After graduating from the Department of Business Administration at Seoul National University, Chang-Rae Kim has engaged in consulting services in various sectors such as finance, retail, and manufacturing since 1996. Having joined PwC Consulting in 2005, he focused on specializing in strategy consulting and accordingly, has been involved in developing medium-to-long-term strategies, and new business development strategies for leading global corporations and public institutions. In 2014, Global PwC completed its acquisition of Booz & Company rebranding it as Strategy&, a brand that reflects the firm’s strategic focus. In light of such movement, PwC Korea also established a strategy division and has actively participated in leading projects within its field. At PwC Consulting, he has successfully conducted strategy consulting projects for major conglomerates such as Samsung Electronics Co., Hyundai Motor Co., and various major public institutions. Externally, he has taken up roles as an outside director for leading domestic companies and as an evaluator for various evaluation agencies. He has also translated and introduced PwC Books such as “Strategy that works,” (2016) and “Fit for Growth” (2018).
