Biography
Jongryn Mo is a professor of international political economy at the Graduate School of International Studies. He served as the dean of Underwood International College at Yonsei University. He is also a research fellow at the Hoover Institution. Before joining Yonsei, he was an assistant professor of government at the University of Texas at Austin. His field of specialization is in international political economy, East Asian development, political economics, and political bargaining. His main areas of research are economic development theory and globalization. The representative book is <The Theory of Korean Development: Donghak of Overcoming Political and Economic Unbalance 불균형 published by Harvard University Press in 2013. Since 2008, he has been participating in discussions on Korea's development through policy research and is studying policies necessary to enhance diversity and openness in Korean society under the theme of university gaps, foreign investment, English education, immigration, and regional development.
