Biography

Yujin Lee is an activist in search of solutions to the climate crisis and local energy transition. After the Fukushima disaster, she engaged in urban-based energy transition activities with Seongdaegol Energy Self-Sufficient Village in Dongjak-gu, Seoul. She also established and participated in developing the major policies of the Seoul Metropolitan City’s One Less Nuclear Power Plant, Solar City and the Green New Deal. She has conducted research on energy plan establishment of regional local governments such as Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheongnam-do, as well as basic local governments such as Dangjin, Jeonju, Gwangmyeong and Suncheon, and currently provides policy advice on these areas. She served as former executive director of Seoul Energy Corporation. Currently, she researches and establishes policies on the Green New Deal.
