Biography
Jiseok Kim has been working as a climate and energy expert at Greenpeace East Asia. After completing a double major in Economics and Environmental Studies at Brown University in the U.S., he obtained a master's degree in Environmental Management at Yale University. He worked on climate change issues including EU automobile CO2 regulation compliance, green car strategy, and renewable energy projects.at Hyundai Motor Company. Between 2008 and 2018, Jiseok worked at the British Embassy in Korea as a Climate Change and Energy Officer and Energy Innovation Officer, to accelerate the response of the Korean government and companies to climate change. After publishing a book titled ‘Climate Recession’ in 2014, he started building solar power plants and now supplies pollution-free electricity to about 500 households.
