Biography
Dr. Jeeyong Kim is a Professor of the Department of International Relations at the ROK Naval Academy. He holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.A. in International Relations from Yonsei University and a Ph.D in Political Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He works as a member of the Department of Defense Military Masterpiece Publication Committee, as an adjunct professor of Maritime Research Institute, and as a member of the editorial board of Maritime Security. He is conducting two studies. One is a theory-oriented study, which focuses on the effect of audience cost on military crisis. This is supported by the National Research Foundation (2015-2023). The other is a policy-oriented study, which analyzes the usefulness of American Distributed Maritime Operations and Ghost Fleet against the Chinese hybrid war. This is supported by the Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy (2020).
