Biography
Professor Il-seon Choi completed his doctorate in adult education at Pennsylvania State University in the USA. He has taught and researched older adults’ learning in Korea for over 10 years. He is currently a professor of lifelong education in Kyung Hee University, South Korea and the president of Korean Society of Educational Gerontology. His main research interests include older adults’ learning, lifelong learning policy, and comparative study between East Asian Countries. He co-authored several journal articles about the comparison between Korea and Japan (2012, 2016, 2018). He planned and hosted the 15th Seoul International Gerontology Symposium in 2020, focusing on the policy and practice of older adults’ learning in East Asian countries of China, Taiwan, and Japan.
