Biography
Taekyoon Kim is Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and professor of International Development at the Seoul National University, Graduate School of International Studies. Since 2018, he has served as one of the Executive Committee of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). His career includes a Fulbright Wilson Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Washington, D. C., Executive Secretary at the Korean Association of International Studies (KAIS), Consultant for the UNESCO, Editor-in-Chief of Asian Journal of Peacebuilding, Visiting Professor of the University of Tuebingen, Germany and Lingnan University, Hong Kong, etc. He received a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford and a Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
His publications appear in various peer-reviewed journals such as Oxford Development Studies, Pacific Focus, Journal of Democracy, Voluntas, Global Governance, and so forth. His scholarly interests cover international development, global governance, peace studies, global south studies, and international political sociology.
