Biography
Yoshiyuki Taenaka is the Researcher Emeritus of the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center (NCVC), Osaka, Japan and the Professor of the Global Center for Medical Engineering & Informatics, Osaka University. Yoshiyuki TAENAKA is a cardiovascular surgeon and contributed developments of medical devices including artificial hearts, ventricular assist devices, oxygenators and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation systems in NCVC. 2011-2013, Yoshiyuki TAENAKA was the Deputy Secretary General, Office of Medical Innovation, Cabinet Secretariat of Japanese Government and 2015-Present, the Program Supervisor of the Development of Medical Devices through Collaboration between Medicine and Industry Program of the Japan Agency for Medical Research & Development (AMED) which is the centralized funding agency for the medical innovation of Japan. Yoshiyuki TAENAKA has become the Program Director of the Integrated Project of the Medical Device and Health Care Programs of AMED to co-ordinate and to drive medical device and healthcare innovation activities.
