Biography

Born in Gyeongbuk in 1947, Jung-Tae Yeo received a Ph.D. from Hanyang University, Department of Civil Engineering, Seoul National University, Graduate School of Environmental Studies, and Inha University. After working at the Seoul Metropolitan City Urban Improvement Research Fellow, Hyosung E&C Development Planning Headquarters, and Japan Housing Site Development Institute, he was appointed as a professor in the Department of Tourism Development at Gyeonggi University. He was in charge of lectures and research on civil engineering, urban planning, architecture, tourism development, and tourism complex development planning, and produced several outstanding practitioners in the field of study. He has performed several books, thesis presentations, and projects such as Tourism Development Theory: Concepts and Issues, and has served as the head of the specialization project at Gyeonggi University, the dean of the College of Tourism, and the head of the Planning Department. After retiring in 2012, he is currently an emeritus professor at Gyeonggi University.
