Jae Hee Yook, born in Korea in 1962, was a key participant in developing and negotiating for North Korea business initiatives, such as leading a herd of cattle to North Korea, the Mount Geumgang Tourism Project, Kaesong Industrial Complex Project, which was led by late Hyundai Group Chairman, Ju-Young Chung in the late 1990s. In particular, he played a critical role in drafting and announcement of special laws by the North Korea Government which provided the ground for the development of Mountain Kumgang and Kaesong Industrial Region. In addition, as the CEO of Acheon Global Corporation since 2005, he successfully led new business ventures such as the Inter-Korea Trading Biz by Land-route, and North Korea Sand Trading Biz, making important contributions to the advancement of South-North Korea business relationship. In 2015, he joined Halla Group and has been preparing for new North Korea business opportunities, utilizing his expertise and past experiences.
