Biography

Dr Si Hong KIM is professor of EU Studies Department of the Graduate School of International & Area Studies at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), Seoul, Korea. Currently he is Director of the HUFS Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence supported by the European Union. Prof KIM served as a member of the National Committee on Youth Employment and also as Dean of Student Affairs and Human Resources Development of the University from 2014-2016. He was president of the Korean Society of Contemporary European Studies (KSCES) in 2009. During 2005 and 2007, he served as a member of the Committee on Curricular Development of the Ministry of Education. He has been visiting professor at the University of Delaware in the US, University of Rome of Italy and Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. In the year of 2013, Prof Kim was decorated as a Cavaliere from the President of the Italian Republic.
