Biography
Dr. Jae Sung Kwak is the Associate Dean and Professor of International Development at the Graduate School of Pan-Pacific International Studies (GSP), Kyung Hee University, and the Executive Consultant of Kyung Hee Overseas Development and Consulting (KODAC). His research interests include multilateral development assistance, private sector development, and CSR in developing countries. He advises Korean government agencies and private enterprises, including the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, LG Group, and SK Corp. Also, he has been actively engaged in leading international organizations. For 2007-9, Prof. Kwak was seconded to the Integration and Trade Sector of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Washington, DC. He has been involved in consulting and advisory works for the Asian Development Bank (ADB), IDB, UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UN ECLAC), and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). He holds a B. A in Hispanic studies from Seoul National University and a Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool, UK.
