Biography
김형길은 1953년 대전 출생으로 숭실대 경영학 석사, 한남대 경영학 박사(마케팅 전공) 과정을 거쳐 1984년 제주대학교 교수로 임용 후 대학인사위원, 디자인대학육성사업 부단장, 관광과 경영경제연구소장 등을 역임하였다. 교수활동 외에도 대한민국브랜드위원회 자문위원, 한국소비문화학회장, 제주시 유통업상생발전협의회 위원, 제주 6차산업화지원센터 전문위원 등으로 활동하며 국가와 지역경제 발전을 위한 선진적 비즈니스 모델을 꾸준히 제시하여 왔으며, 공로를 인정받아 ‘2012년 대한민국 사회공헌 대상’을 수상한 바 있다. 주요저서로 <창업과 경영> (2012), <마케팅트렌드> (2016) 등이 있으며, <브랜드경험과 브랜드애착의 관계에서 즐거움의 매개효과> (2015) 외 130편의 논문을 발표하였다.
Born in 1953 in Daejeon, Kim Hyoung-gil earned a doctorate in business administration at Hannam University and was appointed as the professor at Jeju National University in 1984. He has since served as a member of the College Personnel Board, deputy head of the Design College Development Project, and head of the Tourism and Business Economics Research Institute. In addition to teaching activities, he served as an advisor to the Korea Brand Committee, president of the Korea Consumer Culture Association, a member of the Jeju City Council for Co-prosperity and Development, and a professional member of Jeju's 6th Industrialization Support Center, and was awarded the 2012 Korea Social Contribution Award for his contributions.
