Biography
GONG Ke Served as President of Nankai University from January 2011 to January 2018. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Tsinghua University, President of Tianjin University, and the 7th and 8th member of standing committee of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), among others.
Currently, he is Executive President of Chinese Institute of New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Strategies and President-elect of World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO). His research interests include digital cordless communication system, wireless access equipment and technology, and point-to-multipoint microwave communication system in rural areas. He studies at Beijing Institute of Technology in March 1978 and then got his PhD in the Technical University Graz (Austria) in December, 1986.
