Biography
문정인은 대통령 통일외교안보 특별보좌관이다. 그는 현재 연세대학교 명예특임교수, UC 샌디에고 글로벌정책전략대학원 크라우스 석좌연구원, 영문 정책 계간지 Global Asia 편집인을 겸임 중이다. 또한 현재 아태핵비확산군축리더십네트워크(APLN) 공동의장이기도 하다. 문정인은 연세대 국제학대학원 원장, 대통령 직속 동북아시대위원장(장관급)과 외교통상부 국제안보대사를 지냈다. 연구 업적으로 60여권의 편저서 및 각종 논문집과 학술지에 300여편의 논문을 발표하였다. 최근 출간물로는 『The Future of East Asia』(Palgrave Macmillan, 2017(공동편집자 Peter Hayes), 『일본은 지금 무엇을 생각하는가?』(2013년 국문판, 2016년 중문판 출간), 『The Sunshine Policy: In Defense of Engagement as a Path to Peace in Korea』(연세대학교 출판부, 2012), 『중국의 내일을 묻다』(2010 국문판, 2012년 중문판 출간), 『The United States and Northeast Asia: Debates, Issues, and New Order』, 『Arms Control on the Korean Peninsula』 등이 있다. 그는 또한 미국 국제정치학회 (ISA) 부회장 및 한국평화학회 회장을 맡은 바 있다.
Chung-in Moon is special advisor to the ROK president for unification and national security affairs. He is also distinguished university professor at Yonsei University, Krause distinguished fellow at School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California, San Diego, and editor-in-chief of Global Asia, a quarterly journal in English. He is also currently co-convener of Asia-Pacific Leadership Network on Nuclear Disarmament and Non-proliferation (APLN). He was dean of the Graduate School of International Studies, Yonsei Univ. and served as Ambassador for International Security Affairs of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Trade and Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Northeast Asian Cooperation Initiative, a cabinet-level post. He has published over 60 books and 300 articles in edited volumes and scholarly journals. His recent publications include The Future of East Asia (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017), co-edited with Peter Hayes, What Does Japan Think Now? He also served as president of the Korea Peace Studies Association and Vice President of the International Studies Association (ISA) of North America.
