Keun-Sik Jung received his B.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from Seoul National University. Jung served as a professor at Chonnam National University, and currently he is a Professor of Sociology at Seoul National University. Jung’s professional affiliations include: Chair of the Korea Association of Genocide Research, Chair of the Department of Sociology at Seoul National University, a member of the board of directors for Jeju 4.3 Peace Foundation, Chair of the Korean Oral History Association, and Chair of the Korean Association of Cold War Studies. He published <Cultural politics of memory and commemoration of the Korean War: A Study on the War Memorial of Korea>, <The rebirth of Golden Gate, an island of the Cold War)
