Yong-Sueng Dong graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Economics and a Ph.D. in Commerce from Sungkyunkwan University. From 1989 to July 2015, he studied North Korean economy and inter-Korean relations at the Samsung Economic Research Institute and served as the head of the economic security team. Currently, he is the director of the Institute of Good Farmers (NGO). His major books include 'Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation' (Samsung Economic Research Institute, 1995) and 'Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation Guidelines' (Samsung Economic Research Institute, 2001).
