Born in August 1958, Chang-Ik Lee graduated from Jeju National University with a major in Japanese Language and Literature. Lee earned his Ph.D. degree in Letters at Tokai University, Japan. Lee served as a lecturer, assistant professor, and associate professor at Jeju National University. Lee is a professor and served as a dean of Humanities at Jeju University. Lee translated Okinawaeseo Baeunda vol.1,2.
