최영해는 동아일보 부국장으로 심의연구팀장을 맡고 있다. 워싱턴특파원과 국제부장 논설위원 등을 거치면서 정치 국제 경제 외교안보 등 다양한 분야에서 취재 경험을 쌓았다. 2012년 미국 대선을 현지에서 취재했으며, 도널드 트럼프 공화당 후보와 힐러리 클린턴 민주당 후보가 맞붙은 2016년 대선 때는 국제부장으로 미국 대선을 지휘했다. 앞서 한미 FTA 미국 의회 비준이 있던 2011년 10월 버락 오바마 대통령을 인터뷰했다. 동아일보 논설위원으로 정치 국제 경제 등 한국 사회의 주요 분야에 대해 논평했다. 중견 언론인 모임인 관훈클럽 임원을 지냈으며 현재는 주미특파원 출신 언론단체인 한미클럽 임원으로 활동하면서 바람직한 한미관계 정립에 힘쓰고 있다.

Choi Young-hae is deputy director of the Dong-A Ilbo and is in charge of the review and research team. He has been a member of the Washington correspondent and global news editor-in-chief, and has accumulated experience in various fields including politics, international affairs, economy, diplomacy and security. The US presidential election in 2012 was covered locally, and in the 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump and Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton led the US presidential election as global editor. He interviewed President Barack Obama in October 2011, when the United States Congress ratified the Korea-US FTA. He was an editorial writer of the Dong-A Ilbo and commented on major fields of Korean society, including politics, economy and foreign affairs. Currently, he is working as a member of the Korea-US Correspondent Club, a media associate from the Korea-US Correspondent.
