Bumjin Jung is the president of 'DMZ Peace and Life Cooperative' and a member of the 18th 'The National Unification Advisory Council' (economy department). He majored in politics at Korea University and studied the North Korean economy at the University of North Korean Studies (M.A. course).
He has been interested in inter-Korean economic cooperation and expanding the partnership for development to North Korea on the basis of the experience of founding the 'Energy self-sufficiency and organic life agriculture' in the DMZ and border area. He has written the book titled As a new growth engine, Inter-Korean economic cooperation (2012), and journal articles including 'Development plan report on model village of DMZ biosphere reserve'(2015), 'A study on improvement plan of quality of life of residents on border area'(2016), etc..
