Biography
CHUNG Ku-chong is Chairman of The Korea-Japan Culture Exchange Council
and Professor Emeritus of DongSeo University. Chung received his BA and MA from Yonsei University and finished a doctorate course in political science at Keio University in 1995. He joined the Dong-A Ilbo in 1967 and over the years he had served as the paper's resident correspondent to Japan, national/city editor, Tokyo bureau chief, managing editor and executive director. He is currently a member of the Japan Law and Politics Studies Association and had been a director of the Korea-Japan Forum's Korean Steering Committee since 2003 and served as a president of Korea-Japan Future Forum since 2005, and adviser of CEO & President of Donga.com since 2009.
정구종은1944년 한국 충북 영동 출생으로 연세대 석사 및 일본 게이오대 대학원 박사과정을 수료했다.
동아일보 주일 특파원・동경지사장・편집국장(이사)과 동아일보 인터넷 신문 donga.com 대표이사 사장・한국온라인신문협회장을 역임했다.
일본국제교류기금Fellowship에 의한 게이오대학 방문연구원.
가쿠슈인대학 동양문화연구소 객원연구원을 지냈다.
현재 한중일 문화교류포럼 대표・한일문화교류회의 위원장・동서대 석좌교수 겸 일본연구센터 고문 및 일본정치학회 회원・일본선거학회 회원으로 있으면서 한일 민간교류 네트워크 구축에 힘써왔다.
저서로는 『21세기 일본의 국가전략』(한국전략문제연구소)『외국주요신문사의 경영전략』(한국언론재단), 『한일교류 2천년, 새로운 미래를 향하여』(나남) 등이 있다.
