Biography
Jun-ki Kim(1968~) earned his master’s degree from the Department of Fine Arts at Hongik University and later completed his Ph.D. He served as an exhibition team leader and was the team manager for Art In City 2006, under the Public Art Promotion Committee. In recognition of his contributions to the arts, he received the Minister of Culture Award in 2004 and the Seoknam Art Award in 2007. He also held a teaching position as a professor at Kyung Hee University.
From 2007 to 2010, Kim worked as a curator at the Busan Museum of Art, where he led research and curated several exhibitions, including the acclaimed Rewarding Busan Art series published by Busan Ilbo. He later served as Head of the Academic Research Department at the Daejeon Museum of Art (2010–2015), during which he directed the international biennale Project WAR, a convergence-themed initiative exploring the intersection of science and art. Subsequently, he took on roles as Artistic Director of the Jirisan Project (2014–2016) and as Director of Arts and Science (2015–2016), continuing his work at the crossroads of creative and interdisciplinary practice.
