Biography
Hyunjoo Oh is the Director General of the Development Cooperation Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Korea. After joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994, she has worked in various overseas missions, such as the Korean Mission to the United Nations in New York, the Korean Consulate General in Chengdu, the Korean Mission to the UN Office and Other International Organizations in Geneva. Moreover, Hyunjoo Oh has served as the Director of the Development Cooperation Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as the Director of the External Relations Division at the Prime Minister’s Office. She was also the Special Advisor to the President of the UN Human Rights Council in 2016. With her rich experience and expertise in multilateral cooperation diplomacy such as human rights and development cooperation, Hyunjoo Oh currently serves as the Director-General in the Development Cooperation Bureau in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
