While a variety of Korean content including K-pop, K-drama, and K-food have been actively exported to China over the past several years, various regulations and copyright infringements by the Chinese government have been fluctuating with the political situation between Korea and China. This requires the ability to respond flexibly and actively to the current state of affairs as well as the proper understanding and analysis of China’s regulations on foreign content and protective policies about intellectual property rights. In this session, the Korea-China Regional Economy Association will take a close look at the current situation of Korean cultural content exported to China over the past years, and analyze their successful cases and difficulties in entering China, in order to comprehensively deal with the desirable ways for cultural contents to successfully enter China and the efficient, systematic ways to protect intellectual property rights.
