This session will examine the diplomatic tasks South Korea faces in the new political landscape in East Asia, which has turned more volatile with the rebalancing strategy of the United States, China’s rise and low growth, Japan’s initiative to become a “normal state” and the launch of new regional economic partnerships. The panel is made up of former Korean foreign ministers who will share their experience, knowledge, and wisdom as presenting a way forward for Korean diplomacy.
