Building a Creative Partnership among East Asian Culture Cities

Since 2014, cities from China, Japan, and Korea have been designated as East Asia Culture City every year, according to agreements among the cultural ministries of the three countries. Nine cities, including this year’s East Asian Culture Cities, Jeju Island, City of Ningbo, and Nara, have been designated for the last three years, and these cities have made efforts to promote friendship among people of three countries through various cultural, artistic and academic exchange at both inter-governmental and community-based levels. In this session, policymakers and planners from the nine East Asia Culture Cities will explore the means of creative partnership and networking among East Asian Culture Cities.
