Session

Long-term Coexistence of Company and Society

Time

To coexist with its surrounding society, a company must accomplish economic purposes and social purposes at the same time. If the company focuses only on short-term profit-making, its interested parties in many fields will lose their trust in the company, thereby adopting a negative attitude towards the company. In this session, we will discuss two topics from the viewpoints of companies – how to achieve a balance between fields of profit and non-profit, and what roles they should play to coexist with society as social enterprises with successful mechanisms.
• Mechanisms that the companies should work on to coexist with society
• Mechanisms that would work for the companies’ success both in growth and distribution
• Features and responsibilities of social enterprises including suggestions on how to promote them
