President Moon Jae-in made his New Southern Policy(NSP) public to strengthen the ties between ASEAN and India. With a people-centered approach, the policy is expected to promote mutually beneficial cooperation with ASEAN and India. As the control tower of the NSP, the presidential committee on NSP is developing the core concepts and strategies, and identifying joint projects to be pursued by the departments to realize a people-centered community of peace and prosperity. This session will discuss how the leaders of ASEAN see the NSP, how South Korea and ASEAN can cooperate economically, and what the tasks for future cooperation are.
