Since the Korean president's declaration of the New Southern Policy in November 2017, it has actively strengthened its cooperation with other countries including ASEAN member states and India to contribute to sustainable peace and prosperity in the region beyond the Korean Peninsula. The Korean government also has sought to reinforce its cooperation with the member states based on the three pillars of People, Prosperity, and Peace to create a people-centered prosperous, and peaceful community in the region.
Laying emphasis on the People of the three pillars, this session will discuss how to foster personnel exchange between ASEAN and the ROK, especially in the tourist industry.
