It has difficulty in finding a clue to the solution to the diplomatic conflict between Korea and Japan which was triggered by the issue of the ‘Comfort Women Statue’ in Busan. In this situation, this session is to examine and compare which efforts East Asia and Europe have exerted for the historical reconciliation and draw implications for solving the historical conflict that is now being faced in East Asia. Research on historical reconciliation in Europe has been highlighted mostly in cases of an assailant, Germany. In this session, it is to look at reconciliation efforts from various perspectives such as the victim country, Poland and seeks to find practical and concrete ways to historical reconciliation in East Asia.
