China’s urbanization today is rapidly emerging as a major growth factor for China’s domestic market expansion, which is keenly watched by major global companies that eye the potential for a huge new market. Fierce competition is already underway as they are making all-out efforts to take the upper hand in China’s lucrative domestic market. This session will review the relationship between China’s urbanization and the expansion of its domestic market. It will explore a win-win strategy for both Korea and China through the presentations by the representatives of the market entities. Discussions will include how to upgrade Korean products’ brand recognition while reducing production costs, the best strategies to enter the Chinese market, and exploring innovative business models based on cooperation. The participants will include senior executives of the Chinese Association of Department Stores, CEOs of Chinese logistics companies as well as Korean business leaders in China.
