The Asia-Pacific Region includes countries diverse in history, culture, and economic development. ODA can play an important role in mutual development among the Asia-Pacific countries. This session discusses the Asia-Pacific development overall and the effective cooperation for that goal with experts from Timor-Leste, Korea, and UNDP. The session begins with a keynote speech and a presentation on international development cooperation by both Timor-Leste and Korean government representatives. A panel discussion follows with divergent perspectives and suggestions from the standpoints of UN and governmental agencies, civil society, and academia for Korean ODA overall and Timor-Leste in particular.
