Within Jeju Forum, a platform of discussion for peace and prosperity, <JDC Youth Peace Talk Show> intends to seek ways to realize a peaceful, tolerable society from the perspectives of youth. The importance of multilateral cooperation and global solidarity is emphasized in the crisis of nationalism that occurred during a pandemic. Hence there is no doubt the exchange and collaboration between the youth will have significant meaning in establishing a foundation of peace for the future.
The event will be carried out by a lecture on “The April 3rd Uprising and Massacre” in Jeju by Hyun Ki-Young, followed by a talk on the shift of perspective on peace in the era of pandemic by Song Kil-Young. Moreover, youngsters from different parts of the world will form debates on the role of youth in achieving world peace. It is expected that the event will flourish with peaceful values driven by youth.
