Strengthening Korea-ASEAN partnership through Korea's New Southern Policy

This session aims to discuss ways to enhance partnerships between South Korea and ASEAN nations. With the objective in mind, a discussion will be focused on the issues mutually concerned about as follows:
- The prospect of US-China strategic competition in this region;
- Korea-ASEAN joint efforts to reduce the tension on the Korean Peninsula;
- Korea's participation in the programs of the ASEAN Digital Economy proposed by Singapore (ASEAN Chair); and
- Suggestions to strengthen the Korea-ASEAN ties, political, economic, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges.
The meeting will proceed in a roundtable format so that each panelist be given 5 minutes to talk about their thoughts on the topic aforementioned and move on to the next topic.
