To celebrate the ASEAN’s 50th anniversary, the Jeju Peace Institute is convening ‘Korea-ASEAN Think Tank Summit.’ This special session brings together leaders and thinkers from South Korea and ASEAN to discuss the role and significance of think tanks in promoting regional integration and interregional cooperation. In particular, participants will deliberate on the role and significance of think tanks in the context of ASEAN and share their thoughts on the synergy between Track One and Track Two in ASEAN policymaking. Participants will also discuss ways in which think tanks can improve relations between South Korea and ASEAN, and find out how the experiences of strong Track One-Track Two cooperation in ASEAN can be made relevant in Northeast Asia.
