Dr. Johan Galtung is a pioneer of paxology and peace research. He established online peace colleges worldwide, mediated hundreds of disputes, and wrote 160 books, 1600 papers, and columns. He adopted the concept of “peace journalism” to emphasize the role of media in realizing peace. Dr. Galtung made an accurate prediction that the Soviet Empire would be dissolved within ten years following the collapse of the Berlin Wall. He also predicted that the American Empire would fall by 2020. He said Russia, China, and India would form a new block to confront the United States.
