In October 2024, through the elevation of the South Korea-ASEAN relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, South Korea and ASEAN achieved remarkable progress in their relations since the establishment of dialogue in 1989. ASEAN, with its abundant natural resources, strategic location, and stable labor force, is gaining attention as a key partner of major players in the region wanting to hedge risks arising from political instability around the world. This session aims to invite ASEAN regional journalists to highlight the image of South Korea from ASEAN's perspective and explore ways to further strengthen the bilateral partnership in a more strategic and effective manner.
