Korea is one of the most admired countries that has achieved political democracy and high economic development in a short period since the Second World War. Korea is a model for developing countries that have shown the world that even a war-torn poor country can become an economic powerhouse if the people try hard to do so. What are the implications and the potentials of the miraculous achievement of Korea? What are Korea’s roles in realizing peace and prosperity in Asia? In what manner does Korea have to change and develop for the future after the recent tragic Sewol passenger-boat incident? We will have time to reflect on ourselves through the eyes of a renowned Korean specialist, Mr. Daniel Tudor.
