The <Peace Radio Show>, co-hosted by JDC and Jeju4.3Peace Foundation, takes place in the 16th Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity. This event aims to build a discussion on the meaning and lesson of Jeju April 3rd Uprising and Massacre: the value of coexistence and reconciliation. Also, the event invites young individuals, pursuing peace in various fields, to debate on the role of youth; fulfilling the meaning of Jeju, Island of Peace, and overcoming its tragic history.
The show will start with a special talk by Choi, Taesung, on ‘The sense of coexistence of the April 3rd Uprising and Massacre in Jeju, island of peace’, followed by a debate of youth panelists, on the pursuit of peace from the past, present, and the future, based on the history of Jeju April 3rd Uprising and Massacre. In addition, the event will conclude with a reading of letters and performing requested songs, received by young peace-makers.
At the moment the struggles and conflicts caused by the pandemic and other circumstances are being intensified. Hence, the significance of networking and discussion of the youth-generation of the future-will be undoubtful.
